Ukiah offers many places of interest. This is a list of some of them: Vichy Springs Resort offers natural carbonated mineral water. Grace Hudson Museum "is an art, history and anthropology museum focusing on the lifeworks of artist Grace Carpenter Hudson (1865-1937) and her ethnologist husband, Dr. John W. Hudson (1857-1936). Changing interdisciplinary exhibitions and public programs feature Western American art, California Indian cultures, histories of California's diverse North Coast region, and the work of contemporary regional artists." Mendocino Museum, Willits, about the history of Mendocino County, like railroad and lumber history and artifacts. Skunk train is a train going from Willits to Fort Bragg on the coast through the forest. Lake Mendocino a few minutes outside of Ukiah, gives you good recreational opportunities like hiking, water skiing and boating. Montgomery Park has a wonderful coastal redwood grove and a beautiful fern forest. Ridgewood Ranch was the home of Seabiscuit. The City of the Ten Thousand Buddhas is located two minutes from our residence and they have a restaurant with delicous vegetarian food. Ukiah also has art galleries, many restaurants/cafes (among them the US first Certified Organic Brewpub & Restaurant), a local bakery, a cinema, and many other small and big businesses and shops.
